My husband was working away from home, at one point and asked me to give him a call at 6 am to ensure he was awake.
I did as he requested. He picked up the phone and said, "Good, now call me back at eight."
"Why did you want me to call you at six if you weren't going to get out of bed until eight?" I asked.
"To make sure you were up", he replied.
