Test and Being Tested..

Software Tester or kalau nak tambah engineer kat belakang jadi Software Test Engineer.. 2 different names but with the same job spec. Job description seems simple but not that simple actually ! Test the software, find the defects, log the defects, send back to the developer, and test again..ada lagi la stage-stage dia.huhuhu

But along the way to go through all these stages, that's the critical part. We must have hati yang teguh dan badan yang sihat supaya dapat pergi kerja setiap hari dan dapat menyiapkan modul-modul mengikut schedule yang ditetapkan. Why do we need hati yang teguh? Supaya dapat bersabar dalam melayan setiap kerenah client yang entah apa-apa. Erkk..sometimes la. Dan dapat melayan setiap requirement yang tiba-tiba bertukar (requirement changes). Huhh, that's life of a tester!

We test the software and after that we're being tested. Who test us? It is not the software that tested us but Dia, Allah Yang Maha Kuasa. Life is full of test. Yup, like what happened to our team yesterday. Begini ceritanya, chewahhh.. QC (Quality Center), testing tool yang kitaorang gunakan actually server based tool, so everybody can access this tool either he or she involves in this in-house project or not, and imagine requirement part yang kitaorang susah payah buat minggu lepas hilang! Someone deleted it! I'm not sure whether he or she purposely deleted it or accidently deleted it! Everybody here must be aware that this project is still on-going. Why he or she must delete it? and who deleted it? Hanya Allah sahaja yang Maha Mengetahuinya.

But the good news was, lain-lain part, test plan, test lab, they're still there. What we need to do, just create again the requirements yang berlambak cam mak nenek ( Mak aii..Kenapa la mak nenek yang perlu disabitkan kalau ada kaitan dengan banyak!) Anak-anak pun banyak. huh, tedious job! (kononnya la:D) and then create again the link to those test plan and test lab. Nasib baik test plan and test lab stabil je kat situ. Kalau tidak, mau project ni kene start from scratch:( Dah la Jumaat ni kene siapkan test report. Kalau tidak disebabkan dengan incident delete 'mendelete' ni, semalam lagi kitaorang dah boleh siapkan defect part, tapi disebabkan kitaorang terpaksa create all those requirements again, so the defect part need to be postponed. Testing Testing! :D

Apa pun, aku tidak la marahkan orang yang mendelete requirement itu. Apatah lagi mencaci atau mengutuknya. Husnu Zann..dia tersalah delete kot! Allah nak uji la ni. Sabar aje. Nasib baik sehari je requirement itu berjaya disiapkan hasil kerjasama team kitaorang yang mantap!hehe. Walaupun defect part need to be postponed,we're still on the right schedule. Alhamdulillah.

Same goes with our daily life. It's all about testing! Every single steps of our life is being tested, dan kadang-kadang kita lupa, apa yang berlaku itu adalah ujian dari Allah. So tabahkan hati, bersabar, dan sentiasa meminta padaNya. Sesungguhnya Dia mengetahui apa yang terbaik untuk hamba-hambaNya. Sekadar mengingatkan diri sendiri yang sentiasa menguji(software) dan diuji olehNya. Until next entry. Assalamualaikum
